Y’all, the many hours that will be spent on this front porch are going to be blessed with this view.

Can you imagine? crickets chirping, wine in glass, children squabbling, chickens clucking, sprawling gardens. All from this magnificent timber framed porch that my amazing husband crafted.

Now if you follow my husband’s social media account - (here) - you’d have seen this a handful of times now. But y’all I just truly can’t get enough of it.

He tells me that all the posts are mortise and tenon & the beams are held together using the scarf joint.

His father & our family friend Jeff helped him lift this beast! So proud of them and their strength. How special is it to have the man you’ve always looked up to have his hands in the build of your home you’ll raise your children in? A blessing.

I’m totally impressed. With the framing, yes.

But mostly with my talented hubby. I scored big time with this creative and hardworking man. swoon
