Oh yes.
We are downsizing.
From a 1,700 square foot home to a 250 square foot camper for the lifetime of our farmhouse being built.
It’s exciting.
It’s daunting.
I think what it really will do is put things into perspective.
But also while living out there, I have a dream of an outdoor bathtub on some planks that is run completely off of a woodstove, copper piping and a stock tank. My grandpa did this at his cabin in Wyoming and it was nothing short of amazing. So, we asked him about the process, and it sounds like Cooper bit the bait and we will be installing one of those as well. (yes!)
But…
Back to the camper.
Anyways. Thankfully, most of our things will be accessible! We got a shipping container to keep on property and keep an eye on ;)
I’ve packed most of our home into plastic tubs and am pairing down what I will be ‘needing’ in the camper to ‘survive’ the season. But I just have a feeling I will be missing my washing machine, full sized fridge, full sized closet and well… the full sized bathroom with extra privacy.
All that to say… ahem… I am setting my heart posture up to look at this like one really…. really long camping trip. And a huge blessing. We have acquired the property of our dreams. Truly.
I can create an outdoor kitchen! Create a gardening station! Have some fun crafting projects for J! Plus, all from a better view.
It’ll be fun… I promise ;)
Toodles!
